Molesey 2 v 1 Colliers Wood
This game was played between two competitive sides and as the game progressed it was clear that no side was going to give anything away or concede the advantage to one another.
Both sides defended resiliently and tried to attack stoutly but no quarter was to be given either way.
The times Molesey did get on the front foot saw the half chances that they had, go wide of the goal or were easily saved by the untroubled Colliers Wood goalkeeper. If was Colliers Wood that opened the scoring when Youngs scored from a well delivered corner that eluded the Molesey defence and found the ball in the back of the net.
One nil down and with time evaporating quickly Monty Everett found himself with a little space. He managed to work a little space and he placed the ball in the far corner of the net giving the goal keeper no chance. As the haf moved into injury time and towards the 95th minute the ball fell to Andoh Okai. He clearly hadn’t read the script for a draw as he looked up at goal and threaded the ball, arrow like into the bottom corner and give Molesey a very tight but deserved winner.
This game showed that the lads are getting back to some kind of good form and they are starting to find their consistency just as players that had got long injuries are now making themselves available, come on you Moles!!
