This was 1 of those games when whatever was said at half time made all the difference. Molesey started with a positive lets play football, on what was an all most perfect pitch, a massive difference from the week earlier at Raynes Park! Throughout the 1st half the sharpness and passing accuracy was astray from the Molesey play but intent was there for all to see. Molesey controlled the majority of the 1st half with the back 4 made up of Ryan David, Jamie DeGussepi, Joe Pratley-Jones & Hullina Massembe and having a lot of the ball. Craig Lewington was instrumental in most of Molesey's build up, supported by Danny Band Ryan Marklew and the tireless working efforts of Tom Windsor in midfield.
Molesey did have the ball in the net via Adam Roberts midway through the 1st half only for the assistance ref to deem that the ball went out of play?

Whatever Craig said in the changing room at half time, sunk in and Molesey went more direct and it only took 3 minutes for Ryan Marklew to find some space in the Sheerwater penalty box and stab home the opening goal. Sheerwater response was muted but the ref did give Sheerwater a lifeline after a clumsy challenge resulted in the award of a penalty, the Sheerwater striker struck it well but Liam Allen had guessed right and managed to palm it away to safety. On the hour Danny pulled up with what looked like a hamstring injury and was replaced by Connor Channon. The next change was when the hard working Adam Roberts was replaced by Danny Champion on 74 minutes and it took less than 10 minutes for Danny to make his mark when he directed a free header back across the keeper to make it 2-0. The last change made was when Jerrel Gumbs who had covered what seemed like every blade of grass, gave way to the fresh legs of Jermell Jho-Baptise. The ref allowed another 4 minutes of play before blowing his whistle, resulting in the Moles bagging another 3 points on the road.
